Contestant's Debut

Official Presentation Of Miss CCB Talented Teen 2005 Contestants

The five young ladies vying for the title of Miss CCB Talented Teen 2005 made their official debut at a Cocktail Party held in their honour at English Rose Restaurant on the evening of June 28th.

The Party gave the contestants in attendance with their chaperones and parents, the opportunity to mingle with the Directors and Staff of Caribbean Commercial Bank, members of the public and their peers.

Romare Kelsick, member of the Organising Committee, presented the young ladies in their first official appearance for this year’s Summer Festival. The contestants are Sangrena Harris of North Side, Leah Hughes of Little Dix, Marejah Shari Smith of Sandy Hill, Delvicia McDonna of Sandy Ground and Olufunmike Banks-Devonish of The Valley. The reigning Miss CCB Talented Teen Curlee Gumbs was also recognized at the Cocktail Party.

Caribbean Commercial Bank has been sponsoring the event in its entirety for eleven consecutive years and, through Director Clement Ruan, pledged their continued support to the social development of the young ladies on the island.

As part of their preparation for the Pageant, the participants will undertake Etiquette Sessions with Mrs. Countess Rey and Ms. Rose Brooks, Motivational Sessions with Teacher Art Egel and a number of radio interviews.
The theme of this year’s event is: “Bring Your Talent To Light.” It is in keeping with the slogan chosen for the Summer Festival Activities – It’s Vibrant, It’s Alive, Summer Festival 2005.

Festival Coordinator, Fitzroy Tomlinson, in congratulating the Bank for their continued support of the Summer activities used the opportunity to present a cheque to Ms. Gleneva Hodge of West End for coining the slogan used for this year’s Festival.
