Caribbean Commercial Bank (CCB), now has a newly appointed Operations Manager in the person of Wade Richardson. His appointment took effect on January 1, 2006 in succession to Mrs. Raheema Sharma, who served in the post for the past three years.

Mr. Richardson is a longstanding employee of CCB having joined the bank in 1987 when he began working as a Teller and shortly thereafter became the System Operator following the computerisation of the bank’s operations in 1988.

As the bank’s growth continued in the ensuing years, Wade’s performance and dedication to the organisation resulted in several promotions and eventually in 2001 he was appointed Assistant Manager Operations.

He served in this position until August of 2002 when, after attaining a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, Wisconsin, he was selected by the bank to further his education at one of the universities within the region. This was in support of Caribbean Commercial Bank’s mission of ...providing high quality financial services, through well-trained and motivated staff… And it was in keeping with the bank’s commitment to ensuring that there is capable and qualified management to lead the institution as it continues to grow in an ever increasing competitive environment, brought about mainly by the globalization of the financial services industry.

After three and a half years, Mr. Richardson has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, with concentration in Management, from the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas campus. He excelled in his studies and earned several honours including the Frank Barnett Class Award which is presented to the student with the highest GPA, three successive years.
Mr. Richardson is confident that his experience and educational training will enable him to perform at an exceptional level. This will ensure that Caribbean Commercial Bank remains at the forefront in its offering of financial services to a wide cross section of the Anguillian community.
“Within the financial services industry today, it is crucial to effectively manage the many factors of risk to which the institution may be exposed, and to consistently exceed the service level expectations of a diverse client portfolio in such a highly competitive and dynamic environment,” commented Mr. Richardson. “I look forward to this challenge. With the definite support from Staff, assistance from Management and guidance from the Board of Directors, my appointment as Operations Manager is one that will fulfill another aspect of Caribbean Commercial Bank’s mission as the most customer satisfying Bank contributing meaningfully to the communities we serve.
